The Yankees Begin Their Stroll To The World Series….?

Jay-Z was there. Kate was, too. Was it a hip Hollywood club? Swanky Beverly Hills Restaurant? Nope, it was Yankee Stadium and they were there to watch the Yanks begin their journey to the World series. erm, I mean, they were there to watch the Yankees take on the Minnesota Twins in the first game of the American League Championship Series Wednesday.

Wednesday the Yankees pulled ahead in the series in a 7-2 win over the Twins. They lead the series 1 game to 0.

Game 2 is tonight in New York. Check out MLB.com for the entire post season schedule. You can catch all of the games live on TBS.

Better Late Than Never: Monday Night Football…. Vikings 30 / Packers 23

Okay, okay… So this should have been Tuesday’s post. Well, it’s taken me 2 days to get over my sorrows and stop weeping onto my keyboard. The Packers lost Monday night by a touchdown in an exciting game against their former quarterback, Brett Favre and the Minnesota Vikings. I’m still mad, so this will be a short one….

I don’t know. I’ve kind of likened the whole thing to a thief ripping your loaded gun out of your hand and shooting you with it. Or being beaten with your own stick…

Well, week 5 is the Packers bye week. That'll give them some time to sit and think about what they did (and what they didn't)...

They'll get the chance to make it up to me at Lambau field November 1...

BTW, did you catch that icy little post game exchange between Favre and Rogers? Favre practically made out with Donald Driver then did the "hey bro, wussup" nod to Aaron Rogers and quickly walked away.

And they say there's no animosity. I don't buy that for a second....

Packers v. Vikings Monday Night Football 10/05/09

I AM A PACKERS FAN. Yeah, I said it. I am SO excited about this game tonight I could practically burst. But then I'd miss it. And that would so totally suck...

No matter who's side you're on - and I don't care who "your team" happens to be on a weekly basis, everyone has a side picked for this game - this is one of the most anticipated Monday Night Football games in these early weeks of the season.

For those of you thoroughly confused as to just what the heck is goin' down tonight (or who's goin down, or where the goin' down is, well, goin' down), watch the game preview available at NFL.com or this, shorter, game preview, compliments of ESPN...

OctoberQuest!

Let the MLB post season begin! You can follow all the nonsense (if you're a Dodgers fan), laughter, tears and all around excitement on the new WorldSeries.com....

Monday Morning Coffee Machine Queen

Ugh! It's Monday morning. Everyone is getting their coffee, talking about yesterdays game. You have better things to do on a Sunday than sit around ALL day watching football. But you don't want to be left out of the conversation, either...

Here's all you really need to know to get in and out of the break room while sounding like you actually paid attention all day Sunday when you were really out getting that mani/pedi. Just a little help from your cyber-sisters. Hey, Monday is hard enough as it is, right?

Don't worry, no matter where you live, whether “your team” won or lost, there's a little something here for everyone (pssst: if the team isn't listed, they didn't play this weekend)...

Bengals 23 / Browns 20 (a great game decided in o/t)

Can you believe that the Bengals pulled out ANOTHER one??

OR

Dang, the Browns really gave the Bengals a run for their money, though!

Lions 24 / Bears 48

That’s right! Da-Bears!

OR

Stafford should sit out and recover for a few games, but he’s got a lot of potential.

Giants 27 / Chiefs 16

Of course the Giants won. They're the Giants.

OR

Darn, that Eli Manning!

Seahawks 17 / Colts 34

Seatown got destroyed by the Colts.

OR

Darn, that Peyton Manning!

Buccaneers 13 / Redskins 16

A bad team beat a worse team, but that’s okay, we’ll take it!

OR

I decided to wash my hair instead of watch the game. Pass me a donut?

Ravens 21 / Patriots 27

Tom Brady is really getting it back together

OR

Tom Brady is such a crybaby…

Texans 29 / Raiders 6

God, the Raiders SUCK hahahaha

OR

God, The Raiders SUCK, sigh….

Titans 17 / Jaguars 37

Tennessee got OWNED by Jacksonville...

OR

Tennessee got OWNED by Jacksonville (Sorry, it is what it is)

Jets 10 / Saints 24

Hell yeah! The Saints are on FIRE!

OR

Sanchez is off to a great Rookie season and the Jets are going to destroy Miami next week.

Bills 10 / Dolphins 38

Henne did an awesome job! Can’t wait till next Monday night.

OR

If we could get T.O. the ball, maybe we could make something happen…

Cowboys 10 / Broncos 17 (another great game)

Tony Romo? You mean, Tony Ro-NO bwahahaha

OR

A bad start for a great team. I still think we can make something happen.

Rams 0 / 49ers 35

It’s awesome that the 49ers are number one in the NFC west!

OR

The Cardinals start their playoff series with the Dodgers Wednesday!

Chargers 28 / Steelers 38

The Steelers OWNED San Diego

OR

Did you see that one commercial about the “grooler” hahahaha

Think Pink!

Let's start on a high note. That way it can just be one long, slow downhill stroll going forward lol.

It's Sunday, so of course, that means football. But instead of launching into the days games, I will just focus on one very positive item for the day: A Crucial Catch - the NFL's program in support of breast cancer awareness.

Yes, real men DO wear pink (and look good doing it!).

Apparel and other items worn/used by the players will be auctioned off, with proceeds to benefit the American Cancer Society and their continued fight to save lives from the 2nd most deadly cancer to affect women. You can check out some of the items on the NFL auction site with more items to be added after today's games.
